Books

At University, you are burdened with course books, library texts, journals and e-books. As a CU, we encourage our members to read Christian books, as well as the Bible to help us in our walk with God.

Here are some recommendations:

The Cross Centered Life, C J Mahaney

Helping you to remember the most important thing about being a Christian. An easy, but life-changing read.

Mere Christianity, C S Lewis

An introduction to the theology behind Christianity and practical application to how to live your life as a Christian.

Mirror Mirror, Graham Beynon

A book which tackles issues such as self-image and self-confidence. What do you see in your mirror: the world around you or God?

The Reason for God, Timothy Keller

Tackling common criticisms to Chrisianity such as 'Why does God allow Suffering' and 'Why have so many wars been fought in the name of God', this is a must read to help you with apologetic discussions

The Prodigal God, Timothy Keller
Showing us how the parable of the prodigal son links into our lives as we struggle with the pitfalls of the world and our compensation with the Father
