Without a doubt, there's no better way to get stuck into the CU than by joining a small group. You'll be able to build deep friendships, engage in exciting Gospel discussions and support one another in prayer.

It's important to remember that these are not substitutes for joining a church small group and, in line with the aims of the CU, we have a very different purpose. These groups are outward looking and there for us to support one another as we seek to share with our friends the good news we hold. To do this, small groups often hold their own evangelistic events.

Each week, we read and discuss the Bible together. Interspersed with this, we'll be thinking about the best ways to answer some of the common questions or objections our friends might have about the Gospel.

And of course, there's a strong social element to small groups too - but these don't happen because we feel they should; these happen because, in the CU, and through the small groups, genuine friendships form and we soon find that seeing each other just twice a week isn't enough!
